Next, use the sleeve to completely unscrew the wheel nuts in a diagonal order, and remove the wheel;

2. It is easy to disassemble the shock absorber (the Volkswagen Polo does not need to disassemble the brake cylinder), then remove the arm fixing bolt, then loosen the fixing nut of the spring arm arm; use the caliper jack to fix the shock absorber arm and turn on the engine The hood then loosens the body fixing nut on the upper end of the shock absorber (not completely unscrewed), turn the caliper jack to lift the shock absorber arm upwards until the lower end of the shock absorber is separated from the fixed part of the front axle, then slowly remove the shock absorber, and then remove the shock absorber. Slowly lower the shock absorber arm until the shock absorber elasticity is completely released, completely loosen the body fixing nut on the upper end of the shock absorber, and remove the shock absorber; after removing the shock absorber, use the shock absorber spring disassembler to fix the spring , to prevent the top screw from moving up and out of the spring, it is best to need 2 repairmen to disassemble the shock absorber, one is responsible for supporting, and the other is screwing;

3. Disassemble and replace the damaged parts of the shock absorber and the rubber cover. Generally, the shock absorber spring does not need to be replaced if there is no serious corrosion or breakage. Grease is required when reassembling the shock to improve anti-wear properties. Fix the upper end of the assembled shock absorber with the car body, do not fix it in place, just make sure that the shock absorber will not fall; use the caliper jack to fix the shock absorber arm, and lift the shock absorber arm upward to ensure that the shock absorber does not fall. The bottom of the shock absorber can be placed at the front axle support, use bolts to fix the lower end of the shock absorber arm and the front axle together, and fix the nut of the spring support arm, and then screw the upper body fixing nut of the shock absorber in place; according to the same Perform the replacement of the remaining three shock absorbers in sequence; after replacing the shock absorbers, fix the fixing nuts of the four wheels in diagonal order (do not screw them), then use the lift to lower the car and use Tighten the wheel fixing nut with a wrench; at this point, the shock absorber is replaced, but don’t forget to do the four-wheel alignment.
